SUMMARY:Webster Woods Trail System
DESCRIPTION:Newton Mayor Ruthanne Fuller has proposed that the City acquire
  and preserve 17.4 acres of Webster Woods land now owned by Boston College
 . Join us for a 1.5 mile walk in the woods that will explore the trail sys
 tem that connects the land Boston College purchased three years ago with c
 onservation land owned by the City and by the state Department of Conserva
 tion and Recreation.  While the trees are still putting on their annual s
 how of fall color\, we'll visit scenic features of the woods\, including B
 are Pond\, Gooch's Cave\, and Cake Rock.\n\nThe walk is suitable for all a
 ges\, but it has a couple of steep parts (with acorns!)\, so hiking shoes 
 are recommended.\n\n\n\nRain date:  Sunday\, November 3\, at 1pm  (In ca

 d Parkway 1/4 mile north of Route 9\, turn into the driveway for the Shops
  at Chestnut Hill.  Turn left twice to enter the rear parking lot. Park n
 ear the clothing recycling bins\, in the section of the lot the farthest a
 way from the parking garage.  (Do not park in the Boston College parking 
 lots adjacent to the former temple building.)\n
