We will use dip nets and other techniques to capture and identify small fish and invertebrates. This child-friendly event is ap propriate for adults and children accompanied by an adult.   These BioBli tz events are part of a larger effort by the Newton Conservators to docume nt\, and raise awareness about the great diversity of plants and animals t hat inhabit Newton’s open spaces.  At the beginning of the event\, we w ill give a brief tutorial on the iNaturalist app\, which we use to documen t species and as an identification aid.\n\nPeople come to Crystal\; Lake t o swim\, fish\, and boat.   A shoreline path and sidewalks allow for wal ks along three sides of the lake.
