 ue to the rain and low temperatures (and thus likely lack of pollinators) 
 expected on Saturday .  It is not being rescheduled this year.  However 
 there is another of our BioBlitz events scheduled for the following Saturd
 ay at Nahanton Park\, September 30 from 10 am to Noon - https://newtoncons

 ing more about how to identify native plants? Or maybe you are more intere
 sted in birds or butterflies? Did you ever wonder how many species of plan
 ts and animals inhabit Newton’s Parks and Conservation Areas? Maybe you 
 have developed skills identifying ferns or pollinators and you want to sha
 re that knowledge with others?  Or perhaps you are just curious to learn 
 more about nature in Newton?\n\nIf this piques your interest\, join us for
  an upcoming Newton BioBlitz event in Hammond Woods! We will spend a few h
 ours surveying plants and animals\, learning\, and posting our observation
 s to iNaturalist. You do not need to be an experienced naturalist or exper
 t to participate. Families are welcome.  The Walk leader is Jon Regosin\,
  former Deputy Director of Mass Fisheries &amp\; Wildlife (aka Mass Wildli
 fe).  You can register for this BioBlitz event HERE. Registration is enc
 ouraged but not required.  Meet at the Hammond Pond Reservation trail hea
 d off Hammond Pond Parkway and the entrance to the Street shopping area.\n
 \nThe iNaturalist survey of Newton Parks can be found online HERE which in
 cludes the following areas:  Webster Woods\, Cold Spring Park\, Edmands P
 ark\, Flowed Meadow\, Nahanton Park\, Dolan Pond Conservation Area\, and K
 ennard Park.   Each of these areas has a significant number of existing 
 iNaturalist observations.  Any observations done in these areas will auto
 matically be included in the Newton Survey.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp
 \;\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;
