SUMMARY:NewtonServes Trail Work in Nahanton Park
DESCRIPTION:NewtonSERVES is a day of community service that brings together
  hundreds of volunteers of all ages to clean up and improve our parks\, sc
 hool grounds\, and conservation lands.\n\nOn NewtonServes day\, join us fo
 r some trail work in Nahanton Park.  We'll remove vegetation that blocks 
 a couple of trail segments each summer.  We'll also clean out debris alon
 g a short segment of another trail.\n\nTo volunteer\, follow these instruc
 tions from the NewtonServes web page:\nGo to www.newtonmarec.com and sign
  in or create an account if you do not already have one. You'll then be ab
 le to choose a pre-registered location looking for volunteers.\nThis proje
 ct is called Nahanton Park Trail Work.\n\nWear sturdy shoes and work glove
 s.  If you have one\, bring a tool for clipping shrubs\, and/or a shovel 
 for digging out invasive Japanese Knotweed.\n\nEnter the park from Winches
 ter Street and go down the driveway to the first parking lot on the left.
   Meet at the kiosk on the opposite side of the driveway.\n\n\n\nThe Newt
 on Conservators generally sponsors one or more NewtonSERVES events. Consul
 t our event list for information about the other events we're sponsoring t
 his year.
