DESCRIPTION:This Event has been canceled today due to predicted heavy rain 
 in the afternoon!\nConsider attending the Newton Earth Day Festival inside
  at the Newton City Hall War Memorial (see other event listing).\n\nCome a
 nd observe the first signs of spring in the  Webster Woods with Richard P
 rimack\, life-long Newton resident and Prof. of Plant Ecology at BU. The w
 alk will also include the Hammond Canal\, the Hemlock Grove and a “hangi
 ng rock”.  Meet at the kiosk on the edge of the parking lot at Hammond
