DESCRIPTION:Join Eric Highers and Jonathan Yeo as they educate us about bas
 ic infrastructure and pollutant-loading concepts and share the nuances of 
 a generally underappreciated public utility\, all while showing its increa
 sing importance within the uniquely developed environment of Newton and ou
 r changing climate.\nEric serves as the Environmental Engineer for the Cit
 y of Newton\, managing city compliance with state and federal regulations 
 pertaining to stormwater discharge into the Charles River. He is regularly
  involved in a variety of retrofit and maintenance projects necessary for 
 the continuing function and improvement of Newton’s historic storm drain
  network.\nJonathan is the part-time Stormwater Program Planner in DPW-Uti
 lities.  He had a 30 year career in water resources management with the M
 WRA and as Director of Water Supply Protection for the Massachusetts Depar
 tment of Conservation &amp\; Recreation before becoming the City’s Chief
  Operating Officer from 2018 through 2025. He is assisting the stormwater 
 team on a range of programs and projects while conducting city-wide field
