Newton residents with disabilities and those who are interested in accessibility are invited to review the draft of the updated Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan and provide feedback at a virtual Zoom meeting on Thursday, October 27th, 2022 at 6 pm.  The focus of this multi-year plan is to identify projects that will improve the accessibility of Newton.  For questions or to request a reasonable accommodation, please contact jfairley@newtonma.gov.

One of the most frequent questions we receive at Newton Conservators is “Where are there accessible trails in Newton?” Would you like more accessibility in our open spaces? Then this is a meeting to let your sentiments be known.  One Newton area that comes to mind is the Dolan Pond Conservation Area – which has both trailside HP parking as well as all main trails accessible.
