History
1990s
Jeremiah and Carolyn Fine Friedman purchase a house on one acre of land that extends from Prospect Park downhill to Dexter Road.
2003
Carolyn Fine Friedman receives legal advice that her property could be divided into two buildable lots fronting on Prospect Park, each one suitable for a large new house.
2004
Friedman subdivides land, and donates downhill parcel to Newton Conservators to help “see nature survive the war that we humans continue to wage upon it.”
2006-2009
The Conservators oversee tree pruning. Volunteers from the neighborhood remove invasive plants and replace them with native trees, shrubs, and flowers.
