  • Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • Rain Date: Saturday, June 28, 2025    NOTE: the weather is looking great for June 21 so it is very unlikely we will need this rain date.
  • Location: Gardens across Newton. The tour is conveniently split by location:
    • 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Gardens on the south side of the Mass Pike
    • 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Gardens on the north side of the Mass Pike

What to Expect on the Tour

  • Explore at Your Own Pace: Upon registration, you’ll receive a digital tour guide by email, including a map and plant lists, so you can customize your route.
  • Meet the Gardeners: Passionate and knowledgeable gardeners will host most locations, ready to answer your questions and share their experiences.
  • A New Season of Beauty: Experience the unique charm of gardens in early summer, with a wide variety of different plants in full bloom compared to our previous fall tours.
  • Exclusive Post-Tour Gathering: As a special thank you to our attendees, you’re invited to a post-tour garden get-together for refreshments and conversation from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The location will be shared with all participants.
  • Parking / Traffic:  On street parking is available at most garden sites.  If the site is on a busy thoroughfare, consider parking on a side street nearby.  Also note that the Mass Pike in West Newton will be undergoing some bridge replacement on the date of the tour and there may be serious delays due to lane restrictions.  Plan accordingly if you are coming from west of Newton.

Inspired by the Tour? Get Ready to Plant!
Learn how you can support our vital pollinators! Native plant gardens are crucial for reversing the decline of insects, birds, and other animals. For guidance on the best plants for your local conditions, check out the Newton Pollinator Toolkit.  And if you have mostly native pollinator garden, we’d love to consider your garden for next year’s tour.
