April Foolery in Nature

When

Wednesday, 04/13/2022
7:00 pm - 8:15 pm

Event Type

Come learn fun facts about the nature of Newton, including its geology, botany, biology, and mycology. Learn about weird mammal teeth formations, who is really making that blood-curdling scream in the night, and a strange defense mechanism used by a big bird. Please join us as Barbara Bates explores the wonderful and sometimes strange nature of Newton. She will challenge what you thought you knew about the nature in Newton with a few exposés and “fake facts” during this presentation. Barbara will offer periodic pop-up polls in the spirit of April Foolery and guessing fact from fiction (participation is anonymous and purely options.) Never fear – Barbara will not leave you guessing what was true.

Barbara is a teacher, naturalist and Newton Conservators’ board member.
