Many years ago, colored blazes were marked on four loop trails that go through portions of Webster Woods and the Hammond Pond Reservation.
This map shows the routes of these trails. The black letters on the map show the locations of intersection markers that are being installed by the Conservation Commission. These markers appear on the Conservation Commission map of the area. The trails are described in the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Massachusetts Trail Guide.
Some the blazes have faded over time, so the trails can be hard to follow in places. The Conservators and the Conservation Commission staff have begun a project to refresh the trail markings. In the meantime, walkers may find it helpful to open this GPS-enabled trail map, which shows the user’s current location on the map.
