Cold Spring Park has a new look! As of now (Tuesday morning 4/21), the trail from the Beacon Street parking lot to Duncklee Street has been restored to its original stone dust surface, eliminating some of the worst mud, rock, and root hazards on the 1.5 mile loop trail. Over the next week, the section between the parking lot and Zervas will be closed for renovation.
Friends of Cold Spring Park thanks the Newton Conservators for being one of the first groups to support this project. The Conservators provided time, non-profit fiscal sponsorship, fundraising, moral and political support to make it happen!
With more funding from members and park users, the Friends group hopes to be able to complete the entire trail loop by next year. Donate at this link to support the park.
