A non-profit citizens' group advocating for Newton's open spaces
The Cold Spring Park loop trail climbs a steep slope as it approaches the Cochituate Aqueduct trail near the Plymouth Road trailhead. When the trail is snowy or icy, this slope has been a hazard. But not any more!
In June 2025, Paul, a member of BSA Troop 9, organized an Eagle Scout project to build box steps on the trail.
