A non-profit citizens' group advocating for Newton's open spaces
The Cold Spring Park loop trail climbs a steep slope as it approaches the Cochituate Aqueduct trail near the Plymouth Road trailhead. When the trail is snowy or icy, this slope has been a hazard. But not any more!
In June 2025, Paul, a member of BSA Troop 209, organized an Eagle Scout project to build box steps on the trail. Friends of Cold Spring Park board member Christian Rivero helped throughout the project. We are so grateful!
