Nahanton Park offers a mix of woodlands, wetlands, edge habitat and meadows along the Charles River, making it one of the best birding spots in Newton for migrants and resident species. Follow along with birding guides Alison Leary and Haynes Miller as they search for Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, Northern Orioles, Black-capped Chickadees, and various wood warblers. Bring binoculars if you have them and wear sturdy shoes. Enter the park via Nahanton Street and park in the lot at the canoe/kayak rental location on Nahanton Street.
A steady rain will cancel the walk.
