Join Richard Primack, professor of plant ecology at Boston University and a lifelong Newton resident, to learn about various wildflowers, unusual trees, unique geological features, and evidence of past land use at Hammond Woods. Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes, long pants and a hat. The terrain is relatively flat but can be muddy. Meet at the kiosk at the entrance to Hammond Woods next to Hammond Pond near the Street at Chestnut Hill Mall.
A steady rain will cancel the walk.
