Our website has a new Invasive Plants section. For each major invasive species typically found in Newton, there are photos and tips to help with identification, suggested removal methods, and links to more information about that plant species.
The section also has general background information on how invasive plants harm our local ecosystems, the traits that make them invasive, strategies and methods for removal, and links to what you can plant instead.
You can access the new invasive plant section from this link, and from the home page under the dropdown menus for “Resources” and “Get Involved”.
