Nonmotorized bike riding is permitted on established trails in most Newton parks and DCR reservations, with some exceptions noted below.

Bike riding is prohibited in all Newton Conservation Areas (including Webster Woods, Norumbega Park, and the Flowed Meadow area next to Auburndale Park), in the Newton Cemetery & Arboretum, and on paths in Cold Spring Park, Crystal Lake, and around the Waban Reservoir at Heartbreak Hill Park.

On the map of Auburndale Park and Flowed Meadow, where biking is prohibited in only part of the site, the symbol appears on the map where no-biking areas begin.
In most locations where biking is prohibited, the use of other wheeled vehicles (such as those shown in this sign) is also prohibited.
On DCR properties listed on this website, the use of e-bikes is permitted only on the Blue Heron Trail. Use of e-bikes is prohibited in Cutler Park and Hammond Pond Reservation.
Dirt bikes and motorized bikes, including e-bikes, are prohibited in all City of Newton Parks and Conservation Areas.
