In September 2020, work was completed to reconstruct the Pony Truss Trail along the Charles River opposite Riverside Park.
The trail is an element of a network of existing and proposed trails, the Riverside Greenway, that will fill in a gap in the Blue Heron Trail. The Greenway will extend from Lyons Park on Commonwealth Avenue to the Lower Falls Pedestrian Bridge.
